Since my daughters play, this is where I end up on weekends--so I'm trying my best to stay in practice of shooting tight, faces, peak of action, etc... even if this isn't the most popular sport. This past weekend, I had a bit of trouble with the sun--these were taken starting about 11:00 am. The sun was bright and had sharp shadows. I had was using aperture priority and set the exposure compensation to -2/3 and some at -1, but many still seemed overexposed, even though the histogram seemed pretty good.

Here's some of what I ended up with...

My daughter plays too; tough to get a lot of variety in the shots over the course of a season, in my experience, but your captures are terrific. It seems like a tough sport -- must be even tougher playing in 3 inch grass as in your shots!
