New Galleries Show Up at the Bottom

Hey Everyone...I'm hoping someone can answer my question. When I create a new gallery in a category, it automatically shows up at the bottom, and I have to move it to the top. However, I remember that when I began using Smugmug about 4 years ago, new galleries showed up at the top.

My question: Did I do something to my account to change this option, and can I change it back? If so, how? I'd like for all of my new galleries to show up at the top, but NOT for the categories to change order on my homepage.

I hope this makes sense, and I hope someone can help!

Galleries can be manually positioned or sorted by most recently added. I think if you pick sort by "most recent", it will do what you want.

There are two options for organizing galleries in a category - most recent, and position. I suspect that you have yours set to position.

Sounds like you just need to set the "sort galleries by" back to most recent. See http://www.smugmug.com/help/arrange-albums.

Okay, so I have 8 categories on my homepage. I don't want to arrange the CATEGORIES by most recent - I want them arranged by position. If I choose that for the categories, is it possible for me to choose to arrange the galleries WITHIN each category by most recent? I can't find that option anywhere within a category.

Same here. I want my homepage (and perhaps other specific galleries) to sort manually by position, but the default sort for galleries within a category to sort with most recent at the top.

Me too. Even though it's by now, I know I need to do this by default, it will be nice if it sits on top. Saving galleries position takes a VERY long time (some times, over 2 mins), dont know why...
