Hi All

Does any one have experience in using the California Sunbounce for on location shooting ? I stumbled on this link with some sample shots

It looks as if it could be a handy tech. to use scrim and fill but I'm still wondering if its worth spending the money on even the smaller Micro version.

Cheers

I haven't had to use them but overhead diffusion panels have been used by Hollywood film-makers for a long time. FP/HSS flash and fast shutter speeds tend to be more convenient to control sunlight and other ambient light using still cameras.

If you have a team of 2-3 or more assistants - go for it. Othewise just select some shady places:-)

There is a vendor here in Terre Haute Indiana - I couldn't believe it, but it is true -- http://www.sunbounce-usa.com/dealers.html#. Very pleasant and easy to deal with.

I purchased a Micro Mini (white and silver) and a flash arm so that I can place a 'North Window" light wherever I like. Makes a good sail in the wind also.:D A gelled flash and a Micro Mini means that one can have setting sunlight whenever they wantthumb.gif

It works nicely indoors as well.
