Lazy Afternoon Shoot
I spent a lazy afternoon just shooting anything that dared to move.
It's breeding season, and the wood stork are back in town.
This is the first time I've encountered one of these, it's a scarlet skimmer dragonfly.
Cattle egret trying to look inconspicuous.
And a great blue heron with it's "take my picture" routine for the tourists.
I think the feathered ones caught more fish.
Trying to figure out where to put the other foot. A young bald eagle.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Stephen. I also saw an adult in a restoration area I passed on the way home, but no chance to pull over and get a shot.
It's nesting time for the bald eagles so I'll soon be back providing images to the City's Endangered Species Program...lots and lots of bald eagle images. They're awesome "critters".

Thanks Ira. Wood storks are strange "critters". Beautiful from the neck down, but from the neck up...well, someone has an odd sense of humor.
Trust me; the egrets definitely caught more fish.

Thanks, I appreciate the comment and I agree, the kayaking fishermen is a really neat shot. A little different from your everyday bird shots.

Thanks Bob, I apprecieate your comment. The blue heron had been busy fishing for a late afternoon snack. I guess it decided it was time to dry off, so sat for a while on the rail of a fishing pier.
