Kokanee salmon are running around the Lake Tahoe area, bears stop by from time to time for an easy meal.
I made a mistake today, I went out with the 100-400. It was very overcast and I couldn't get the shutter speed I needed, even with the beemer. Tomorrow, I'll have the 70-200 f/2.8 with me. It wasn't bad when the bears posed for me, but in the water they were much to fast.
I'm hoping I'll get another crack at one of these guys stuffing his mouth with fish. Doggonit, I came so close (as a few of the bear shots show.) Not really acceptably sharp, but they'll have to do until I learn to take a decent picture.
Still, a *great* day.
Cheers
