Any Easy Qestion...Forced Slideshow?

Well, maybe this is not that easy a question.

I am completely new here, a refugee from Pbase, (though I still wish Slug and Emily the best), and things seem to be settling in for me at an acceptable pace.

However, I would like to be able to send out a link to my new Cambodia Gallery, (not hardly done yet, just barely started), that automatically puts the viewer in a slide show mode, hopefully set for fast.

I particularly like the full screen, title or explanation at the bottom while in Slide Show mode. I like the way this looks for the pictures, which is of course, the important thing.

My concern is that people that I want to see this, and other soon to be transferred galleries, will click on the thumb nail, get a slightly larger version on the right...fail to double click the right image to go to full screen.

If I could send a link that already placed the viewer in Slide Show Mode, that would be cool, (and super).

This is not a killer issue for me....but as they say, The only dumb question is the one you're too embarrassed to ask....and so one continues to blunder around in ignorance, when there may be a perfectly acceptable answer.

Thanks for any help anyone could provide.

Best Wishes, Traveller

I hate to Answer Myself But....
...Playing around, I came up with this:

"As another alternative, I could post the link to the first image, 1 of 9, and have people press the forward arrow on the right of the 9, to move through the series. In effect, the viewer would never see the thumbnail page...hummmmmmm."

It needs to be acknowledged that Slide Shows, to a general public, often has a negative connotation.

Ahem....I may have solved this already....:D

    Hey Traveller,

    Welcome to Dgrin! wave.gif

Yeah, you could give out a lightbox-link that'll put your visitors directly in full-screen viewing mode. They would be able to see the gallery underneath and could close the lightbox view.

Another option would be to use the share button to get a link to the slideshow like this. That way the slideshow would start automatically and there would be a link back to the gallery, too.

The best way may be to give them two different links, one for slideshow and one for the regular gallery, so that they see their options and take the one they like best.

Are there any other options that can be passed to the main slideshow? To get it to load full-screen?

    Something like:
.../swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=2504559&AlbumKey=f3ta9&FullScreen=YOUBETCHA
The slideshow popup link will run in a maximized browser window if your browser allows that. There's no way to run it in full screen without the browser window around it. That's what the full screen button in the gallery is for, but it don't work with such a slideshow direct link.
