Hi All,
Continuing my previous threads, here's a few pictures from the Vail area of Colorado. I was very discouraged initially when visiting Vail. When I arrived, the sky was completely clouded over and uninspiring. I got a hotel room for the night, hoping the next day would clear some. It did finally clear from 10 am to 1 pm or so, and I took advantage of the amazing light:
"Lost in the Aspens" - Canon 30D w/ Canon 28-135 lens w/ Polarizer. 6 shot vertical pano with each frame bracketted -1/0/+1. Stitched with Panorama Factory and processing using Photomatix Pro and CS3.
"The 9th Hole" - Canon IR Modified 10D with Canon 20mm lens and Hoya R72 filter. 5 shot vertical pano with each frame bracketted -1/0/+1. Stitched with Panorama Factory and processing using Photomatix Pro and CS3.
"Senory Overload" - Canon 10D with Canon 28-135 IS lens and Polarizer. Single shot processed using CS3.
"Golden Road" - Canon 30D w/ Canon 28-135 lens w/ Polarizer. 6 shot vertical pano with each frame bracketted -1/0/+1. Stitched with Panorama Factory and processing using Photomatix Pro and CS3.
"Vail Overlook" - Canon 30D w/ Canon 28-135 lens w/ Polarizer. 8 shot vertical pano with each frame bracketted -1/0/+1. Stitched with Panorama Factory and processing using Photomatix Pro and CS3.
"Taking it all in" - Canon 30D w/ Canon 28-135 lens w/ Polarizer. 6 shot vertical pano with each frame bracketted -1/0/+1. Stitched with Panorama Factory and processing using Photomatix Pro and CS3.
"Vertical Splendor" - Canon IR Modified 10D with Canon 20mm lens and Hoya R72 filter. 5 shot horizontal pano with each frame bracketted -1/0/+1. Stitched with Panorama Factory and processing using Photomatix Pro and CS3.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks Seamus! To be honest, my pictures don't do the area any justice at all. It was so amazing to have the clouds break, and the shafts of sunlight to hit the trees. It's something I will remember forever, I think.

Ha ha. Thanks! I know that I sure lost a lot of sleep while I was out there visiting, and while I've been processing all these things.

Bluehand and Schnauzer, thank you! It is definately a place you need to visit in the fall. Just make sure you don't get a hotel there for the night, as they are crazy expensive!
