This shot #1 is nice but looks like it has a tilt too me.
You might want to put it in photoshop and straighten it a bit.

Yes you can put more than one picture in a post. I think Schmoo should be able to help you with that.

Ok put on your fireproof suit.

I'm not sure if you used a filter or the look is because of resizing artifacts. If its a filter I would suggest using a heavier hand. Right now it looks like you uploaded a thumbnail and then upsized it. There seems to be resolution artifacts.

I like the composition of the first shot and the very muted colors work nicely. It looks like a kodachrome color profile. The bit of sky is a very nice cornflower blue.

The bright spot and the blown out roof of the gazebo is a distraction to me on the second one. The reflection in the water in the second one is nice.

The third one I would like to see the fence filling the frame more.

I'm thinking she's using pretty severe jpeg compression, because the 1st image is 800x537, yet only 70k in size. Either that, or possibly a camera setting is fouled up.

    I'm using a Nikon D40x. I didn't use a filter, just played in Photoshop.
Yes, I totally screwed up in resizing the photo for uploading. I have no idea what I did wrong. My camera settings are fine.

Okay, roof too bright and picture tilted. I'll work on that.

As far as the fence, it was difficult to get some shots because of the shade and sun. I had to stand in certain spots to get the right affect (sorry excuse).

Yes you can post more than one photo in a post, but only if you're embedding images in the body of the message. Unfortunately attachments are limited to one per post. That's OK though! Whatever method works for you. Just know that attachments do result in some compression which is a sacrifice in image quality.

If you do have a place to host your images, then you can peek at this tute to embed them.

Personally, I'm not real fond of the coloring on these. They lack pop, contrast and vibrancy.

I'm with Swartzy. They seem to be lacking overall sharpness.

Maybe its just me, but on my monitor, the red hues are coming off rather strong? I like the content you have and think a bit of kelvin temperature tweaking & shadow and contrasting and you'll have a great photo. thumb.gif

    Another try
I normally prefer black and white photos of people and am not generally into scenery. I admit these were a bit Thomas Kinkaid-y, but I wanted something different. Is the original better?

I'd be thrilled to work this shot up for you and explain what I did should you allow. Simply provide the full res. image link and I'll go to work.

Not bad at all. I think most of them need a bit of color correction, however. There's a purple/magenta cast to a couple of them, I think. See if you can correct that and they will be much better.

This file is very small to work with, therefore color correction and the like is difficult. I pulled it in anyway to do a quick edit, giving you an idea where it could "go".

    400396827_xXfJQ-L.jpg

I would work on the overall magenta cast (which I did remove quite a bit so far). Just some thoughts....more contrast, better light to dark, dark to light balance, richer colorization, find good black and white points will afford you the next steps.

As David said, WB is *way* off. Also the images look muddy, as if you were shooting film and then scan. Dirty UV filter or kit lens, perhaps?ne_nau.gif
