I was trying to aquire a Nikon 300mm AF-S lens online shops showing stock as backorder status. Check out my local camera shop and found a older used Nikon 300mm AF ED real nice shape and built like a tank. Drawback AF is a little noisier and cannot use Nikon TC 14E. But after playing with it on my D 300 and that it was a third of the price of a new AF-S lense. I bought it.
Very sharp and great color. The local park birds were very cooperative

Wish i could have gotten a bit closer and on the other side of this handsome guy. But he went up the bank into the shade.

Beautiful pictures...it seems like the lens was well worth the cost!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
