Problems with buying prints

When I select Buy, and then Photos from this gallery, the prices arent right. Some pics have water marks on them saying photo not available for this product and not for sale underneath the image. This is happening in all my galleries. Can I get rid of this option, photos from this gallery. Or how do I fix this.

Here is a link to the one of the galleries

    Hi Rich,

When I purchase a photo in that gallery, this is what I see:
    20081023-45q449d9i9cuinjupy5uxh29j.jpg

It seems to be exactly as your pro-pricing is set up. You have marked a lot of sizes as not for sale.

Remember that you need to be logged out of your account for your pro-pricing to take effect. When you are logged in, the pricing will be the 'SmugMug default pricing' as we don't charge you the marked-up price.

When you are logged in, the default prices will show in the list, and for those that have pro pricing set, the pro-prices will show, for your information:

    20081023-bj2gi43kh5nrtjupny7bc4ht7a.jpg

    I hope this helps.

When you click buy and this photo it works great, but when you click on photos in this gallery thats where the problem is. It has many images That are faded with the words photo not available for this product and not for sale underneath it. I logged out and I still see the problem. Can you check this for me.

I see the same thing, but that's because it comes up with 20x30 as the selected product and the grayed out photos aren't offered at 20x30. Change the product in the upper right to 12x18 and everthing is offered (nothing is gray). If you priced the grayed out images for 20x30, they wouldn't be grayed out anymore when that product is selected. I don't know why the default product comes up as 20x30 on my system.

Thanks John that makes sense, dont I feel stupid.
Is there anyway to have a smaller size as default. I tried going to smaller product, but when I come back its back to 20by30. I think this is confusing to people who want to buy prints. I wish I didnt have the, photos from this gallery, option.

    Thanks again

I don't know why it picks that as a default. Perhaps someone from Smugmug can explain what size it should come up with as a default when you pick Buy Multiple.

You could try this CSS to disable the multiple option:

    #cartButtonsWrapper #yui-gen2.yuimenuitem {display:none;}

It works for me now, but if the layout of these buttons or drop-down menu items was changed in the future, this might stop working because they don't actually provide an identifier explicitly for that menu item.

It looks like disabling the menu item with CSS isn't going to work. The CSS identifiers are not consistent. It works sometimes and doesn't work other times. I've seen it work and I've seen it not work. It could be disabled reliably with javascript, but before we go that way, let's see if Andy, et al can figure out why it's behaving the way it is for you and I.

It is valuable functionality if it could be fixed to start with an intelligent image size that is something you offer on all your images.
