Need a recommendation on a gaffer (or other) type tape to wrap my lenses. I want to protect an preserve the finish without any residue from the tape.

Thanks,
Greg

    Lens Tape
I haven't tried either one of these, but I have thought about trying them:
    - Vet wrap (doesn't stick to hair, not sure about anything else)
    - X-Treme Tape #4558 from www.aerostich.com

I have always liked Permacel Gaffer's Tape. They have it at B+H, I think it is the best Gaffer's Tape out there. It should not leave a residue or harm the lens, but I would almost worry more about covering it up that just using it as is. Available in Black, White and Grey, up to 3" wide, not sure if all the colors are available in that width.
