had our first frost of the year, managed to get a few shots before my fingers
got too cold and the sun hit the flowers...

I think it's a great abstract capture. With the depth of field it's tough to tell just what I'm looking at, but I still like it. Keep it up!

    thanks for looking!

I enjoy seeing all the bugs here on Holy Macro, but my own style is more
abstract, I enjoy photographing the colors and forms of flowers in particular.

if you're curious, it's one of these, except with frost on it and higher mag (and purple, they
    come in different colors):

Great shot, I love the color! The frost crystals are beautiful too, we are in mid spring here but still had a frost this morning after a small cold snap. I was not up early enough to get photos though! Well done :)

Overall, the look of the shot is nice. I wish for a slightly wider composition though so that more of the violet flower would be in the shot.

I wish it was wider, too! this isn't a crop. I was shooting with
a Pentax M50mm/f1.7 mounted on a bellows, with the whole thing on a table
top tripod (these flowers grow close to the ground) so I was pleased to get
a shot that was nicely focused and exposed. I tried to get a shot with more
of the flower but the sun came over the trees before I could get it set up. ne_nau.gif
