Well I did it. Bought myself a domain name. With some help from Winnjet got it working with SM.
So I start telling everyone who will listen my URL - mthphoto.com.
Almost unanimously the response I get is “Why did you pick that?” “It has no spark”, “No pizzazz”. Now where were all these people when I was trying to come up with a name?
So I got to thinking about it.
If I drop the H from my initials and changed photo to PROMISES GREAT PHOTOGRAPY. Now I think this has snap.
But then I got to thinking it is too long. Easy fix, drop GREAT PHOTOGRAPHY.
Now I have a name I can live with.
MT PROMISES
I even have a slogan:
Keep you hopes high, but IT’S ALL IN THE NAME

Not even a groan?
Now when someone frowns at mthphoto I tell them this story. Their usual response is somthing like "groan That's bad"
Ok so maybe it is the written word that is the problem.
If you say "mt" very quickly it sounds like.......
So..mt promises ...... oh never mind it isn't that funny anyway. 8*(
