I apologize that I haven't been able to spend as much time here as I would prefer lately. I am very active politically so until next Thursday (I'll need time to sober up from celebrating or mourning) I won't be around all that much.

When I checked in today I found the thing I hate more than just about anything else. I found lots of orphan threads. :pissed The key here is participation. Don't just post your own images but take a few secs to comment on the captures of others. If you like it say so, if you don't say so (diplomatically).

When I return I hope I don't see any orphans because if I do I will have to go medieval on y'all (amiably of course).

    One of us apparently took my post to heart and commented on a lot of threads driving mine to page 2. rolleyes1.gif

    I'm poll watching on election day and after the polls close I'm heading to a local hotel where our local candidates have rented out the banquet room for the evening. Linda and I have rented a room there for the night as I will be in no shape to drive by the end of the evening as I'll be beer.gif or :booze

    I'm also bringing my box of Cubans for a Red Auerbach victory smoke. :seamus

    I may be a little sensetive on the subject because I've abandoned some other web forums due to the rancorous discussions. My experience has been that there is good reason for the old axiom of avoiding discussion on politics or religion. It rarely ends well in a public venue.

    Regarding the original reason for the thread, I'm doing my part. Unfortunately all I CAN do it comment since I haven't captured a frame for weeks now. But even comments have been few of late. All work and no play :cry

    But next Friday we're bound for New Zealand for a long, desperately needed vacation. The camera should get a good workout then :D

    Harry, I had a health forum for years and it dang near exausted me keeping up with it all. I finally put in the banner, "Please post to others if you want people to post to you". That cured it. Some people just don't get the forum idea. I get what U mean!deal.gifrolleyes1.gif

    [although it is fall and nature peeps are out for months! lol]
    I think all the editing, shooting and PC and forum stuff just gets to be too much sometimes. Me eyeballs sure tell me that! ;~)
    I just saw a few "o"s in here. They must all be out shooting....
