My Kenko Tubes Arrived Today

Things I have learned since they arrived:

1. I shake like a leaf!

2. Embrace manual focus....

3. Bees don't really like lenses stuck in their face:eek1

BUT here is one I got that was ok. This was with the 20mm tube only, attatched to the 50mm 1.8. This guy was smaller than my pinky fingernail, I'd say about 7mm body length.

I guess I know what I am going to be doing all summer!

Ahahaha, I love your learnt list,
you should add to the list ... things seen in the view finder are probably not as close as they appear to be,
however they still retain the right to scare the living daylights out of you rolleyes1.gif

welcome to the wonderful world of MACRO clap.gif :ivar ... you GO GIRL! great first Macro/Kenko Post.

    Thanks Skippy and Brian:D

I was slightly discouraged when I realised it was hader than i thoughtrolleyes1.gif The more tubes you stack on the less focus you get. With all 3 tubes even at f22 my focus area was teeny weeny. Here's another shot I got while the 20mm tube was on though:

This is a really nice shot Tara, nice work on keeping the Bees eyes in focus.
It's not as easy to do as people think it is.

I always smile when I hear people say it's harder to shoot MACRO than they thought it would be.... there's no room for error shooting Macro.

Your doing just Great clap.gif looking forward to seeing more thumb.gif

good shots, well done. a good start.
you will find using f8 - f14 will give much sharper images, as long as eyes are in focus the shallow dof doesnot matter so much!
