This is the first time of trying anything like this so any advice you could give me would be very appreciated.

Its a cool picture. I'm presuming a composite. The swan is a bit flat, but that may be by design. However, the technical lighting leave me wanting. No moon reflection, and I'm not sure the swan's reflection is correct, given the moon as a light source.

    Good idea, but needs tweaking.

The moon is far too clearly a plant, it's too sharp and alone. Take a picture of it shining through a thin cloud and use that as the background - or soften and add a glow (you've got a sharp moon with focus letting go on the water). If you can add the glittering reflections to the water, do so and bring up the brightness and contrast in the front, especially the swan.

Post the re-work, this could be great :D
    Creativity's hard.

Very cool idea Harry, but it doesn't look natural at all.
You'd have a reflection in the water.

It came together very well, but it just doesn't look right.

I like how the light is reflecting off the swan giving the impression,
it is swimming towards the moon.

Well done, I really like where your going with this clap.gif .... Skippy :D
