How many here use them and what kind do you use? I am wondering about this one,

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of it?
Thanks for any info.

The Lumiquest 80/20 you linked to is actually a pretty good device. It's probably no better than some other devices, many of which you can make very cheaply.

Here is what I use (a lot):

You can create your own light modifiers (DIY). A couple that I can recommend are:

Joe Demb also makes an interesting device for sale (reasonable):

I own a FlipIt product and it works well and is very well made.

Thanks ziggy53. I am very tempted to try making the one in your first link.

I made 1 prototype and then 3 finished copies. It is my most used flash modifier.

I actually have the Lumiquest device - it's not seen the light of day (pun inteded) for the better part of a year and a half. I find it to be a real pain to mount to my flash (mostly cause I don't like velcro and gunk on my flashes).

And it performs no better (and in many instances not as well) as the the light scoop in Ziggy's first link. For those instances where I have a low enough, light colored ceiling, I much prefer the Better Bounce Card. The BBC and the light scoop mount so much easier with one or two appropriately sized rubber bands that there just is not comparison.

This is the FlipIt model which I use quite frequently.

However, I bought this outfit recently on ebay just because the price was so darn low. I bid a couple of bucks for it and actually won the auction. I have not even unpacked and used it - but, one of these days.

However "one of these days" is what I say to my wife about cleaning out the garage.
