Fantastic lens, but I've purchased an overlapping and much more expensive lens, so it's not getting much use. $320 shipped (with insurance) to continental US and I accept Payapal.
The lens features a very accurate/quiet USM focusing and image stabilization (IS) technology which allows for shooting in much lower light conditions than non-IS lenses. The 17-85mm range covers the most commonly used focal lengths for landscape, portrait and short telephoto images. And this lens's relatively small size and weight makes this a great one-lens solution for almost any situation.
Has a had a protective UV filter on from Day 1
About 20 months old
Package includes: lens, front/rear caps, UV filter, box and paperwork.
