- Download
- Unzip by a double click
- The .dmg file is shown - double click on this
- follow the instructions - drop the plugin icon on the installer icon
- It is now installed
- Open Aperture
- Go to any project or photo and right click
- Select Export
- You will see the Aperture2SmugMug plugin
- Select the plugin
- The first time you use it, it will ask for your identity info for SmugMug
- If you selected the plugin from the gallery it will attempt to upload the whole gallery.
- If you selected a few photos then only they will be uploaded.
It will take you a few times of trial and error to perfect the process. It is fairly intuitive. There is another link you might want to look at as well.http://davidholmes.org/aperture-to-smugmug.html
Note: Custom Name in the plugin sticks around even after closing the plugin and Aperture. You have to clear the field manually. Hopefully, the designer will clear the field automatically in the next release. I have neglected to do this several times.
Good luck

Thanks very much. I found the plugin in Aperture 2 before I read your message, dont have mouse so cant right click but use File, Export. First tried selecting whole album with 120 pictures, left it on all night and it was still going in the morning showing exporting,so I thought it wasnt working. So I tried sending just one picture and it took about 20 minutes. This long process never happened when I was using pc. It will take about three days to upload the 120 pix at this rate and I have many more projects to upload. Is this normal.

My first impulse would be to ask what size are the files you are uploading? It sure seems that overnight is a long time to upload 120 photos. I would have thought two hours tops if they are large.
I am on a Mac also, but a desktop and I am connected to the router wireless, so I know that my connection could be faster. I have never experienced any slow uploads in my current configuration.
I will have to defer to those more familiar with transmission problems.
