Thanks Harry, and getting close helps. I'd love to get a DSLR but I don't know
what I'd do without the live preview and versitility. I got these sitting in a lawn
chair with some old army surplus green mosquito netting covering me.
    Thanks again,

I agree very sharp shots, and very nice ones, too.

You use camouflage? I have been thinking about it with the ospreys. Those birds watch me.

And I think the canon lens, big, white, is a factor. Maybe it is just me, but camouflage wouldn't hurt.

    Nice shots.

My DW wants me to get a blind, then she could sit and watch too.iloveyou.gif
Problem is when the sun hits it, the temp inside will go out of sight. I used some old army surplus green
mosquito netting and the air passes thru. It's enough the break up my outline and with dark clothing
does the trick. If them BIG white lens is spookin' them get some camo tape.
    Thanks for the comments,

A little camo goes a long way
Great shots Allen, the camo can make a real difference. I've recently gone mad (ask my wife) and bought some "realtree" gear to hide me and the equipment. As I usually shoot near the border with the Mainland (I'm in Hong Kong) I often wonder what the authorities think when they see me. Here's an indication of how bad I look

Can you imagine the reaction from Harry's DW when he suggests painting his car in camo?rolleyes1.gif
I've got camo gear going back 30 years after many years of bowhunting. But when the suns out it can get awefully hot.
    Thanks for hte comments.

Got too many pets now, don't need another. Way too many squirrels around here but fun to shoot. The close one was at about 5-6 feet. About the inner limits of the 828/tcon17/macro. Punching the 2x really fills the frame (680mm).

    Sun no big deal
It gets pretty hot here in summer, circa 33c with vertical sun and humidity in the 90's. So I picked up a suit which is made from a very fine net. I go out with shorts and T-shirt and put the suit on when needed. The slightest breeze blows through it and it gives a little shade. The biggest problem is your hands with even lightweight gloves they get hot. Here's a shot but with heavy gloves. The whole suit packs in a pocket of the jacket.
