A cat, horse, ghoul, and pink ribbon (October is breast cancer awareness month)

10 second exposure lit by a small flashlight with blue gel.

Photoshop fun with the same image, "Glowing edges" filter applied...

I like both photos. The one that was playing with photoshop is interesting. I'm wondering what it might look like if you used that as a layer over the orginal one or vice versa. It think it may give it another demention of spookyness. But cool carvings.

Hey Bill, did you carve the pumpkins?
You folks are pretty darn good at this pumpkin carving business :D

Nice to see the Pink Ribbon Pumpkin in the line up too.

So did your kids make out like bandits for Halloween??
Thanks for sharing Bill thumb.gif ... Skippy :D

Wish I would have thought to use a gel filter for lighting. Your use of it
turned out nice. All I got was lots of "orange" color everywhere. Really hard
    to deal with in PP.

    Nice carving work. thumb.gif

Thanks for the comments everyone! For the record, thankfully I only had to carve one this year. I did the cat. My wife did the horse and ribbon (she is nearing the end of her breast cancer treatment), and my 10 year old did the ghoul.

And yes, the kids made out like bandits. Here are their costumes. I shot this on the way to Zion National Park on Friday evening in La Verkin, Utah, a small town where the kids got to trick or treat. This was after attending a community trick or treat/Halloween party on Thursday night. They ended up with double the loot. I've also got individual shots of each one with that cool tree and clouds, yet to be processed.
