Still learning to shoot good pictures. But wanted to share a couple of my favorites so far.

Yes I do realize this is a little off center, but I was unable to get directly in front of the door, and I guess I just didn't like the idea of cropping it to center it.

This my 7 year old. She loves getting her picture taken and has been great about working with me :)

Heck, your lucky. My kids practically disappear when they see me
with a camera. So I don't get many "people" pictures on my path to
learning how to take a good one. :D Michael

As you study the " rules " of composition, you'll discover that the centering of your subject is seldom advised. Many times, of course, you may not have an option but, generally, it's best to place your subject somewhere off-center. The old saying that " rules are made to be broken " is as true in photography as any where else. There are, however, guidelines to composition that are valid and best adhered to. A good book on composition is a great investment.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
