It's a Jeep Thing.....
I gave up my motocross shooting "job" this year to have some fun. I'm still taking a bunch of pictures, but most of them are now of jeeps. I've been spending alot of time offroading with my new club. It's a blast. Here are a few shots...nothing fancy...that I've taken "recently".
MY JEEP
And finally one of mine, taken with my camera, by a buddy...
I've been designated the club photographer.....go figure...:D

I can honestly say yours is the first 4x4 with a windshield decal related to photography.
Unique, I like it!

Nice to show us the dirty side of a jamboree
Not a jamboree....just a weekend get together. It's very addicting.

We need sometimes to escape into open solitudes, into aimlessness, into the moral holiday of running some pure hazard, in order to sharpen the edge of life,to taste hardship, and to be compelled to work desperately for a moment no matter what.

The first seven were at the Badlands (http://www.badlandsoffroad.com/default.asp) in Attica Indiana, the rest were at the Cliffs Insane Terrain (http://www.thecliffsinsaneterrain.com/) Marseilles Illinois. So I guess that means it was actually two fun weekend get togethers....:D
It is...until something like this happens...
Which turns in to a "typical" trail repair...
...what you can't see is it's anchored to another jeep.
But it's all good. The wheeling is usually a good test for the camera gear too, dirt, mud, water and lots of bumps.

I put myself in a bind and snapped the axle and ball joints. I had gone down this same section 50+ times on prior trips without a problem....so I blame myself for this one. Basically too much torque on that side of the axle. A couple hours later I was back on the trail....thanks to fellow club members!
As they say: "GO PREPARED OR GO HOME". One of the members fried his automatic transmission on the last trip.....3G's....
One of the things I really like about Jeeping is.....its a family thing.

Had the tripod along on this trip.
