HS playoff football

helping the local paper.......gets me in to see a game up close & work on my shooting. some horizons are not straight because paper likes to do their own processing. I just gave them a quick crop in smugmug to post here nothing else.

despite going down 7-0 early the Bigfoot union HS came back to win 21-7 & in a classy move took 2 knees at the goal line to run out the clock not run up the score.

    Nice shots.
    The problem I am running into with night football is getting the players and the ball in focus.
    I just shot a HS Varsity soccer game, with iso 2400 on an oly E-3. Pic would be horrible as a color print, but in the paper it looked fine.

    Great shots for the paper. The only real issue I have is the distracting backgrounds. But you've got some nice action in these.

    I agree.
    The second to last is nice, even with the house in the background. The others with the players behind is a bit distracting.

    thanks for the comments guys. Not sure on getting any better backgrounds other than dialing it down to f2.8 maybe.
