Beach Portraits from Saturday
Saturday afternoon I had a fun shoot with 2 families at the oceanfront. I posted some of the shots in the technique thread but wanted to get some C&C from here. Thanks!

Just don't overdo the vignetting

Thanks Nik. I'm noticing that in Lightroom, the vignetting isn't as dark as it is when the photo is converted to a jpeg and uploaded to the web. I'll rework it before print to lighten it because it is much too dark on some.

Thanks Jeff! The mom's eyes were incredibly striking and she really brought life to the photos. The dad (like most of us) didn't really want to be there. I think out of 50 photos, I caught 2 of him smiling.

I like 2, 6 & 8 the best.
Did you use any filters?
Keep up the good work.

Thanks Charles! I didn't use any lens filters. I did use a 1/4-cut CTO on the strobe fired through a Photek Softliter II for fill.

Thanks RBrogen. The fill light (flash and reflector) helped dial down the direct sunlight's effect of washing out the colors. For most of the shots, I had to do very little color/saturation boosts in LR.
