Had to take the wife to the airport at 5:00 AM Sunday. Since I am up early and halfway to the Butte Sink might as well go watch the sun come up. It was a late sunrise but it was a beauty just took awhile to get some good light. Taken near and at the Sacramento and Colusa NWR

Geese came off the refuge at sun up and flew over the ones already in the field

As soon as the sun came out from behind the cloud it signalled the birds already in the field to go and join the others that just flew by

Thanks for the comments. Wednesday morning I get to be out in a photo blind in the middle of the Closed zone at the refuge. Hoping for a good day looks like the weather is going to cooperate hope the birds do too.
