Panasonic DMC-LX3 Review

Looks like a great high quality compact camera with full manual controls. Anyone in that market should be tempted by this.

    Yeah I saw that a little while ago, to me it looks like a very promising carry-anywhere prospect.

    I'm not really in the market for one right now though, so I'll just sit back and see what Olympus comes up with micro 4/3.

    Interesting to me is the 2.0 at 24mm. Even assuming the higher ISO performance isn't great, most of the consumer wide-angle lenses are something like 12-24 3.5, which is 24mm equivalent and two stops slower. In canon land, two stops lower and not stabilized.

    For wide vistas while motorcycling, this LX3 looks the business. thumb.gif

    I'm not into digicams but for a serious shooter looking for a digicam, this looks like a good buy, especially now that it's selling in the low $400's now.
