20D Errors
My 20D was acting up this weekend. Err 99's and 01's. Using a 70-200/2.8L/IS lens. Anyone else had problems? Any cures other than removing batteries and dismounting lens to clear the errors?

I generally get the lock up error more where it shows the aperture as 00 and won't do anything. I've had the err 99 though also.

Lens is less than 12 months old. And I had IS mode 2 engaged all the time. Hmmm...

I agree with Bodley. I've seen way too many posts over at DPR about this lens (and the 100-400mm to a lesser extent) having IS issues, that cause camera errors. It scared me so much that I have shied away from Canon IS lenses. If it were me, I'd send the lens in

I had my very first error 01 on the first day I used my 70 - 200 f2.8; ironically I had just handed it over a friend to admire - and it wouldn't work for him.
I have not done any of the firmware upgrades, and the error 99s are quickly fixed by popping batteries. Not convenient when photographing wildlife, though. The error 01 required me to remount the lens.
