you forget to change your settings when you shoot.

I drove ALL the way to Olympic national park yesterday, all 4 - 5 hours. I went to the falls, marymere and Su Doc. At Su Doc I had to change my ISO to 800-1000 because I didn't bring my tripod. (well that might not have been good anyway because the terrain was slippery and my tripod likes slipping...) So then I went to the Raniel (?) beach which was on the west west coast of the park to take some photos of the islands and ground littered with salt eaten away trees. And when I finally got home at 9 pm, I realized when I downloaded the photos that the photos from the beach scenes were at ISO 1000 when they could have been done at 600.

It didn't dawn on me that I left it like that. I guess I got caught up with the beauty that I didn't bother with anything but trying to get artistic and well exposed photos. :cry

It's a horrible feeling!! I might have to buy noise ninja! But probably doesn't compare to your experience, Aaron!

Sorry about that. But now you will probably remember Schmoo's favorite day (*)...mwink.gif

We could probably start a support group on this! I recently took a bunch of shots on a bright sunny day at 1600 ISO! At the time I wondered why my exposure times were like 1/1250 at f18.0!
