It's been awhile since the last time I shared. I would love to hear your thoughts and CC!

These are absolutely gorgeous. I'm particularly taken with #2 and #3. The lighting is fantastic. I have shot in these conditions several times over the past few weeks and never approached such a nice balance of flash and backlighting. Could you share your approach here?

Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular.

Why do people post their equipment in their sig. Isn't it kind of like bragging? That having been said...

Great set of images and you did a great job of getting some that she will like and some that her mom will like (not always the same!) thumb.gif

    Thank you for looking.

Shot 1 was 1/200; f5.6; iso1600. I did not have the flash for this one. I had her mom hold a reflector.

Shot 2 was 1/1250; f3.5; iso1600. I wanted a low flash -1/3 so I could throw more light and have a fast enough shutter speed to stop the leaves. Mom was holding a reflector as well.

    Shot 3 was 1/320; f5.6; iso1600. No flash...just a reflector.

Shot 4 was 1/320; f5.6; iso800. No flash. No reflector.

OH NO! Train tracks! Hahaha. Just kidding. Great series. With such a beautiful senior, all you have to concentrate is on shooting. Loved them all.

I love #1 and #3 - just love the light.

I'm really surprised you got such lovely photos shooting with a 30D at ISO 1600. What, if anything, did you do in post by way of noise reduction?

Thank you for looking! I did not run any type of noise reduction. In post, I did my normal defog task, cropped and slight sharpen for web.

I haven't had any issues with iso1600 on my 30D. The only time I notice if it is bad is when the shot is underexposed.

I love your framing, color and lighting in #3. All of these are really quite awesome though, but 3 is the cake topper for me.
