Gorgeous, love the third one the most. clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif Do you by any chance know if the tree in front of the other trees and to the left of center is the famous tree that Ansel Adams has in B & W, covered with snow? It looks very much like that, IRC.

    Very nice shots, Bill.

I'm interested to see if anyone can make anything good out of those backlit trees we saw. I haven't gotten to those yet, but looking at the RAW I was thinking it might be tough with how I shot them.

    These backlit trees?

I also have one that's a close up of the tree.

Need to tinker with the HDR stuff, right now I'm not getting the results I want/expect. It's more complicated than I'd thought, I'm going to have to do some learning first, it's not "magic," and converting from 32 bit to 16 bit so you can edit is difficult with the tools that are given. I'll have to re-read the Luminous Landscape article first ;-)

Not me. I've been very disappointed by my stuff so far.

Bill, this one is truly beautiful.

    Thanks!

Took that one yesterday morning, followed Marc again, when you were probably half way back to SFO :-/

I also got a 7-shot bracket of that, to play with in HDR. I tinkered for about 15 minutes with it, but wasn't happy with what I got. Should I learn the zen of HDR, I'll have another version of that, perhaps with more dramatic sky.

Nice to meet you, Sid, hopefully we'll both make it to Zion!

    HooooHaaaah!!
    Excellent shots Bill thumb.gifthumb.gif

That first one is sweet and looks fine just the way it is (no further cropping required, IMO) clap.gifclap.gif Love those reflections too :D

Good shots. Another example of different results from people shooting from the same place. I don't think I have any keepers from Sunday morning with Marc. :cry

But there is many more photography tomorrows to learn and improve with. :D
