Beautiful shots! I love the 2nd one with the bush in the foreground, its a littlle different from the other photos that have been posted from that location. I'd love to get out there to see it sometime.

    Yeap-

This was my third time there so I wanted to try and get some different shots.

When you come out to see it make sure you have several days to spend as there is a lot to see in that part of Arizona/Utah. deal.gif

    Aaron -
Nice shots, I like #2 also with the shrub for perspective.

But maybe on your next trip, go for something really different. Maybe you should shoot from here.:heh

It would be interesting to rappel down the cliff and shoot from a different perspective. Maybe we can get Coldclimb and Prezwoodz to stop by and do that on their way back to Alaska.

I wonder if one can go near to the water or not ? Do any road goes down there ?

I was at Horseshoe Bend in 2006. Another fellow was working close to get the best shot. thumb.gif He might have gotten away with one slip but a slip and a half would have turned him into a temporary birdman.

Sadly, my little Nikon 8800 lacked a wide enough angle lens to even begin to do justice to the amazing location.

You can put a boat in the river several miles down stream or pay for a one to take you up river from Lees Ferry. A boat actually drove by as we were shooting here.

I think that might be they way I shoot it next time. Might be able to get to that location David pointed out by hiking up. deal.gif

I've been to the canyons like that many times when I was doing white water rafting back in USSR. It's definitely an entirely different point of view, but on average I'd say shooting from the rim gets you more bang for the buck.
