Arica, Chile

I am out here in Arica, Chile for work -- the driest spot on earth. I haven't had a day off as of yet but I have taken a few pictures that I thought I'd share.

From the airplane coming into Arica -- these mountains are barren!

I love the slow and relaxed pace of living down here. Like a few other places around the world, lunch is served late in the afternoon and dinners don't begin until 8-9PM. Once you are there, be prepared to wait as we aren't finishing with dinner until 10 or 11PM!

    Nice pics...... I love the desert

    I thought Peru had the driest place on earth? is that what they the bolivians and chileans fought about? rolleyes1.gif

    Chile looks to be a surfers paradise, that wave in 'Fishermen' is superb!
