Creative stupidity: camera in the washing machine

So what would it look like if you put a camera in the washing machine, closed the door and gave it a whirl?
Well, It's nearly 5 in the morning, and I'm feeling silly...
In it goes, I've stuffed the machine full...
Aaaand... (the colour is me holding a rust coloured shirt in front of the hatch)
Well, what can you expect really, it's swirly...
Real world exif: spin mode with hard spinning off all together, tap very off, lots of towels... and turn the machine off at the first clunk.
I didn't break my camera

From the don't try this at home category?
What could possibly go wrong?
That sums it up pretty well
No, I definitely tried this at home.
I assure you that contrast and saturation have been left mostly alone
Well I'm game. If you take a trip this way, you've got a drink waiting

How did you trigger these?
Thank you for the laugh.

Now that must be the proper way to wet-clean the sensor. Did you use "Tide"?

Would have if I'd had a diving box - had to go for dry cleaning
Would be seriously cool to rinse and repeat with a waterproof camera set on video and some little diving lights

Freud would probably ask my mother to do my laundry.

I'm on a roll - or at least my camera was.

Just don't trade places with the camera and good things will continue to roll your way.

I know this is an old thread but... may be time to up date this by doing this same thing but with water in the machine and using a gopro or the like... lol
