On Friday we traveled to Oamaru for a schools gala night where they had lots of stalls, games. Then when it got darker fire dancers and fireworks. Here are a few from the night, have only done a little PP to the photos as have a sore hip today and can't concentrate, but I hope you enjoy looking

Wow Aspire these are really COOL!!
That very first one looks like fire that's alive and dancing.
The B&W that follows looks like a signature shot
My favourite is that last shot, I'm guessing you used sparklers for the silvery light but what makes the golden light in that shot
Very well done Aspire :ivar ... I love the series l... Skippy

Thanks Skippy I was hoping someone would like them! It was really fun and my first time photographing anything like this. The first one was a 10 second exposure and the person was moving so fast they ended up dissolving in the photo
As for the last photo the fire dancer had a pole approx 1.5m long and on each end he had small round bits of cloth which were lit on fire then on the end of those were fireworks which you would normally light upright in your backyard! These were lit and each end erupted in a 'broom' of sparks then he started twirling the pole and combined with up to 2sec exposures created the images!
Sorry for the long explanation - I thought I did have photos just before he started so you could see but must have deleted them, will post one up if I find one. I have some more images from the fire dancers in my Light & Fire gallery.
Thanks for looking, I really appreciate your comment I wonder if I can get my partner to take up fire dancing .....

Those are really very nicely done, have seen a lot of these types of shots, and these really stand out, well seen and captured.
I really like the last one best.
Hope you find the others, would love to see them.
