Found this guy today. I was experimenting with the 32mm and teh 12mm kenko tubes on the 18-55 lens. This is fully zoomed in, manual focus. And as usual, natural light, hand held and uncropped.

Funny how before a person gets interested in MACRO,
they hardly take any notice of the tiny things around them,
then once they enter this new World, it's amazing what one sees in one's own backyard

I'm really annoyed about the blowout on the leaf but oh well It was quite bright afternoon sun and those leaves are really shiny. Just happy I got those eyes in focus.
On second inspection it probably wasn't one of those blue/green flies (I have no idea what theya re called) The body looks bigger than that, and the wings are too. Maybe somekind of large mosquito?
