THIS shot came at a great cost to me it was raining a lot and I ran after this guy watching him not were I was putting my feet ,as i am shooting this I am ankle deep in water
Your composition has improved so much. Those are some really nice shots. The area I see for you to work on next is post-processing. Those shots would benefit greatly from some better post. Curves work, mostly.

I'd love to go out and shoot with you. Come out to Thousand Oaks, and we can hike with Nik and shoot some landscapes! We'll make everyone else jealous, because of our mad skillz.
Jeff, I'm not a genus with PS, but I can do some basic stuff, and took a FAST crack at some more prosessing. A lot more can be done. This took me about 30 seconds. Hope you don't mind.

The hard part is the composition (this is where I suffer). Once you have that (and you definitely do here) you can always go back at some point and re-do the post. I've gone back to several of my earlier photos as I've learned new things in PS just to update them and see how much better they look.
Good work here - The first is nice. I like the dedication it took to get the umbrella shot

Phil Susan David Ed Sam [for making my shot better ] thank you for the kind words they means a lot really . Phil that is a very good idea I am going to start an album of shots that have potential [ small album ] until i learn PS

thanks Steve a from you a good thing to me , and the comp. improving lots of help from the dgrin family, thank you all
Al three are good shots. I love the comp on the 3rd shot with the person giving the viewer some perspective on the size of the surroundings.

Hi Jeff, very nice shots I have been watching but so busy so I am taken a couple moments because I have them to say wow, you got some very nice shots. I had alot of fun taken pictures with you and was so nice meeting you.
Connie just loves her bears thanks again. Of course all she talks about is seeing the black bear and how nice you were.

And I agree with David: just a little postprocess would help tremendously!
I took the liberty to play with this tree shot of yours:
It took me like 30 seconds total: slight adjustment of black point in Levels and very mild S-curve in Curves - and look, how much more "wet" the tree and the grass is, and how much more distinct the falls are..

Open your picture in PS
Hit Ctrl+L (Levels)
You'll see that the left part of the histogram is flatlined. Drag the left marker (it's referred to as blackpoint) a bit to the right, to the beginning of the non-zero data. Since you have the data all the way to the right (white), you don't need to adjust the right marker (called whitepoint)
Click OK
Hit Ctrl+M (Curves)
Drag the upper-right 75% point just a tad up, drag lower-left 25% point just a tad down,
Click OK
That's all folks! Takes way longer to type than to do:-)
