for me, this image seems to convey a sense of wistfulness, bordering on melancholy, the realization that summer is past, and the cold, dark days loom before us. like the words to the old Don Henley song - "empty beach, empty lake, the sun goes down alone..." - the empty chair on the dock seem lost and forlorn, almost as though it, too, knows that "summer's out of reach...". 30D, 24-135 @ 135mm. 1/250 @ f/8...
