Birding in Vancouver - lots of variety

I had the opportunity to meet John Hutchings (Hutch) from DPR's Sony forum yesterday, and he took me to his local shooting spots. Here is a sample of the bird life we saw in only a couple of hours. John, thanks for a great day! I owe you one if you ever come out my way...

I saw my first wood duck! That in itself was worth the trip!

    Those wood ducks are beautiful birds. It's great to be able to see the coot's feet. They have such interesting feet.
