Post your Concert images here
Here's a few shots of Satisfaction , a Rolling Stones Tribute band playing at the Legends Theater at the Hard Rock Casino last weekend here in Hollywood Florida. Great show. Great venue, while I was cursing a lot of the lights flashing me because I had no lens hood, I worked around the worst of it. SHooting RAW is your friend in lighting situations like this.
Shot on Canon 20D with 10-22 at f/3.5 ISO 100 Av priority between 1/80th and 1/250th. A bit of photoshop including Fred Miranda's BW Pro on the black and white shots. Levels, contrast and saturation on the color ones.
Hope you like and look forward to seeing yours.

I have been out on the road for a bit and just catching up. Don't know if anyone is looking at this thread at all, but I thought I would post anyway
I posted one of these awhile back, but I wanted to add them to this thread since the subject applies.
Canon 20D, Canon EF 28-135 IS and Canon 70-200L IS
Ok, just for kicks I thought I would post a few more. I do a bunch of concert photography, primarily for Donny Osmond. Here are a few shots. We have my photos to publish a tour photo journal, tour program, calendars, etc. If anyone is looking for a different way to make some money doing photography, consider concerts. I have seen many of you with much better photog skills, so I know you could do it. Fun stuff.
I had my little Canon Powershot A95 at this concert and hoped for the best. I didn't expect to get any crisp shots with this camera, but did manage to grab some cool ones - great memories of a fantastic concert!

Thanks! It was a great concert, especially because it was in a small club. The energy that night was electric.

I like this thread! These are the types of pictures I take the most
Maybe some of our overseas friends will know these two bands. These were taken in Ft Lauderdale in one of the absolutely hottest shows I have ever been to. I felt like I was going to melt.
Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol:
Gary - guitar, Paul - bass, and Johnny -drums:
Joel of Athlete front and center:
Stage shot:
These were taken with the kit 18-55mm on the 20D. I wasn't that close so I did the best I could. Hope you like them.

My eldest nephew is a fine young musician........a few years ago his School hosted a Boys Band from Germany..... I tried to take some pictures without using a flash (Sony F707) I applied Hayes Island Effect to the image.

Taken with a point & shoot Canon s30. My photo editing skills were much less polished 2 years ago - hence the noise and artifacts from over boosting the levels and repeated adjustments and saves.
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

It was a funny groupe who did some song from the 60-70 and 80. They were dress like the erra.
