Great Job
You all must have been quite a site in person, even sorrier I missed it.
Chimping: making funny monky noises OR looking at the back of your camera to check your pictures and showing them off to others
Chimping is of 2 schools.
1/ As mick said...the ape like grunt we make when we look at a shot in the camera
2/ Way back when big pro DSLR's 1st hit the sports scene only the highly paid & geared up pros had them...Associated press guys. Thus they were called APe's due to being the only photographers on a sports fiels/news area etc that took a shot & then looked at the back of their cameras. It was something photographers had never seen before..ie shooting & then looking at the shot.
Glad you are home safe and sound Gus. What a great pleasure it was to get to spend time with you. It's not everyday you get an opportunity to learn another language for free.
I cant wait to see what you took home with ya. Spend a day with the family, then get busy posting.
I very much hope that we get the opportunity to be in the same place at the same time again. It was a blast.

Here is Ian, Gus and Doug in a gang chimp.
Ian and Gus shooting the sunset while standing in my shot
Gus was the Ruler of the Wastelend. Now he is King Of The Mountain.
I just went thru your Yosemite album on smugmug -- very impressive.
I have a question for you, on this photo

Did you do a lot of post processing? I love the cloudy sky in this shot.

No, I didnt do much to it.
Opened,
Levels adjustment
Bump contrast up by 5 or 6
Bump saturation (less than 10)
check for dust specks (cloning as I find)
USM
That would be it.
I have a question and can't remember it, but this is one old quesion that no one has answered.
What is chimping?
Yes, and the other was about using the "contrast" adjustment thing on PS. I kept reading how bad it was, so I quit using it.
What do you think?

I know for a fact that it doesn't exist there! The Dutch are too smart to eat chicken claws.
