Playtime on the Parkway

ahhhh, it was close to 80 degrees today, so I took the opportunity to play in some much needed sunshine. :clap
This horse apparently thinks the grass is tastier on the other side. She was so sweet and let me pet her muzzle.
then across the road I went and onto my knees for buttercups:
Back into the car for another 20 minutes and at the entrace to Linville Falls I found these trees basking in the sunset light. I think they're Magnolias of some sort, the smell just about knocked me over as I got closer!
Finally, I decided to lay down in the grass to capture the whimsy of a dandelion.
then I made a wish and blew it till it was just a stem......I wonder if it will come true.
thanks for looking!

This shot is fantastic. I am really glad you shared it with us. It is now on my list of shots to imitate.

Very interesting, great idea!
And I could copy the dandelion in my dreams, only. But I don't do flowers, except a week ago. They are everyone's fave shots of my workshop, everyone in my family. Probably since they have never seen a flower from me.
I just love your rendering of the light with the dandelion.
When I saw in the title the word "Parkway", I wondered if it was you, glad it was.
That area below Boone is gorgeous. If you turn to your right, isn't there a falls a short walk in. That is the last place I have been to on the Parkway, I think, and the last place I took my Corgi who died. She was lagging then. She died a few months later, I feel so bad when I see the photos.
But it wouldn't stop me from going back. A gorgeous place!!! You are lucky to live there, I am lucky to live here. I do wish my daughter still had her love affair with the mtns. We used to go together from Charlotte. She must be getting old, too, at 45. Now, when she is not working, home is where she wants to be.
ginger (I love the whole set)

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
