I do a lot of hiking and like to take pictures often along the way.
I started out packing it away in my pack but it is such a hassle stopping and taking it off and opening it up etc. Half the time I miss stuff. So I now hike with it around my neck. Out and ready!
Sometimes I see a beautiful landscape but can't hold it still and it is blurred.
I've tried to hold the camera against rocks and trees to stop it from moving but it is never level and can't aim it exactly where it would be best.
So I thought of a tripod! I have seen a few but they don't look well made.
What is the best mini tripod with flexible legs that does not weigh much?
Thank you for any info.

    Tripod
A good learning start would be to read the article (above)on tripods. You want a rigid, not flexible tripod, and the rest of it is in the article. After you read it, I suggest you print the article and visit a large camera store stocking different tripod brands and prices. You will be able to see and feel the differences with the aid of the article. Good luck.deal.gif

For landscape shots on a hike, and too many miles in for a tripod, I personally secure on the rocks, or natty structures for the shot (with timer if needed). A low light lens will help along the dark trail any time of day, especially in tree lines.
