The access is great. There is a Bay trail for hikers/bicyclists. I brought wide lenses since the subject was the bridge not the moon & shot from low w FX mode. The water was not as still as I thought it would be.
Next month I'm going try shooting from the top of the old San Mateo dump (now a park) with a new D90 (DX mode) with the moon as subject. I'll be able to get that orange close to the horizon moon IF there is no fog.

Here's one morning shot I like
Oh my, that's really pretty. A couple of years or so ago my daughter and I drove over that bridge on our Fremont commute. Never quite saw it as a thing of beauty, but I've changed my mind since this picture.

The colour and the mood are outstanding in deed.
Clever composition
Nice shots, I really like the blue of your twilight shot.
I've never thought of shooting the San Mateo Bridge. How's the access?
The moonrise tonight in the Bay Area was spectacular. I was driving
home from work and it was glowing orange against the Fremont Hills.
