A garden snake invades. Cool for me...bad for bugs!

Maybe a Gilded Flicker Hybrid from the north (BC)?

Next year we WILL move beyond the tree line! (If the critters agree it's ok!)

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Very cool little snake there! Raccoons are always fun, unless they're getting in your garbage cans! rolleyes1.gif

Nice activity....the snake is very good. A photo editor can fix those eyes on the coon quite easily.

Thanks for the nice comments. I thought about fixing the raccoons eyes, but it's how they looked, so I left them. Unflattering, for sure. They were caught mid day up a tree in the yard by my dogs. I called the dogs up to the front of my property, and then the raccoons bailed. I've learned to call that flicker in regularly now using the 'squeeker' out of a dog toy, to mimic his call. And the snake, well, it didn't fare so well. My cat, Miz Diezel, caught up with him.
