Can "buy photos" be turned on for me, but not my viewers?

I don't run a business off my site, and only share with family and friends. The 'buy' button used to confuse a lot of my viewers who simply wanted to download one of my photos and thought they had to buy them first... so I turned it off for all my galleries.

However, I often want to buy prints for myself (say, to send for Christmas, etc), and find it very frustrating to have to manually turn this feature on for each gallery I want to buy prints from, then turn back off once I've ordered.

Is it possible to have the buy photos option always visible for me when logged in?

Thanks!

-Brian

    Hi Brian,

You could set up a private gallery with the buy button enabled and move any photos you want to buy into that gallery. You could leave the buy button enabled but no one else could buy prints.

This should be possible with some javascript/css. There are people way better at it than me so hopefully they'll post. I'm still figuring out how it's all put together!

now why didn't I think of that! Good idea Shay, much simpler than turning on/off the buy option. -- however, SM team, still not totally off the hook, as I still recommend putting the 'buy photo' option in the new Tools menu for photos.

    Thx,
