I also really like the pouring rain shot- great action and capture of the inclimate weather scene- kinda like those poor guys on the weather channel:lol

And a nice change of pace from all those Yosemite shots You long distance travlers got to shoot SF and Yosemite, not bad for a long weekend. You really didn't have to mention the "W" word though :uhoh .....lol
Nice to have met you,
Steve
Where were you when you took the shot of Fort Point and the GG bridge? You look high up. Must have been early or late too, I don't see any cars in the parking area near Fort Point.
That visitor center shot -- unbelievable -- those highlighted bricks really add to the photo -- the rain was good for something after all.
I always enjoy seeing how others photograph local (to me) attractions. Would you believe we only stopped there ONCE -- usually we're on our way home from Crissy Field and the hubby's on a mission.
There is one shot I attempted to take -- of that huge iron ring in the wall? Well it was too dim when I tried to take it and I've been meaning to go back in better light. Someone posted a photo on dgrin of someone aiming a camera at it. I hope it came out and they post it.

We went there Sunday night. We were there for a long time, waiting for them to turn on the lights on the bridge when the rain came. We were up on the bluff above the fort. There was a little tunnel we hid in until the rain stopped and then we hung around till way after dark.
We shot the bridge, but when it got really dark my shots got really noisy, plus I had real problems with my horizon because I couldn't see it through the veiwfinder, plus I couldn't see the level on my tripod (note to self, small flashlight to add to bag).
This was the best of the lot.
Then we walked down to the car and out on a pier. I shot a couple of the skyline of SF that I kinda like.

If Dragon (Gary) every gets around to putting his night shots up, I think mine will be quickly forgoten. His sure looked good on the back of the camera. He headed for cover when it started pouring (smart man) while I had to get one more shot so I bet I have one he doesnt.
