Yes, it would be nice. But, I doubt it will happen anytime soon, as I asked for a search api over 2 years ago (see bug report below). Feel free to update the bug report with any features you'd like to see.

Yeah - that's a shame. FWIW, I appended a comment to your bug report. Is the forum here historically the best way to bend the ear of the SmugMug dev crew re: feature adds, etc? Or do you think the bug route is a better way to go. I'm spoiled by Salesforce.com's IdeaExchange where everyone gets to vote on their favorite proposed features, and SF actually reads, responds, and eventually incorporates the good ones.

I'd suggest you post any questions / suggestions here on the forums. I don't think the defect database is used anymore, but I like to reference it for historical purposes.
