Linear polarizer with dslr??

about to take the plunge ... 20D ... keep my linear polarizer or sell it with the 828? Did I hear something about an AF problem on dslrs with linear polarizers?

    From everything I've read and heard, you want to go with the circular. I think linear filters mess up the auto-focus and metering system (?).

    Yep, sell the LP and pick up a nice large diameter CP and some step up/down rings.

    exactly. nir, buy yourself a 77mm c-pl, and a 72mm (male) - 77mm (female) stepping ring. that way, you can use the c-pl on most of the canon lenses you'll likely buy.

    btw - if you choose sigma just be careful, as the filter sizes are different!
