This Female Downy Woodpecker is in my backyard everyday, usually 35-45 feet up in the trees. Infact, many times she is so high in the trees that you can't see her, and the only indication that she is present is the sound of her pecking at the high tree branches. Today she came down to the lower branches of the trees allowing me to get some photographs.........

Wow, great shots Ira. They flit around so much, I always have trouble getting a good shot of them. Most times I just get an image of tail feathers leaving the frame.

A tad on the bright side, but good work getting it in the frame. These guys are very fast. The second to last is the best IMHO.
